Counselling in Keighley
If you want to talk to someone in person without travelling into Skipton, counselling in Keighley may be the simpler journey. I’m Rebecca Shore, a counsellor in Keighley for people aged 16 and over. The room is private, and the way of working is the same wherever we meet.
What people bring
People come because they are overthinking, worn out by how they treat themselves, or stuck in the same relationships. Some are in the middle of a change and don’t quite recognise themselves. Others look as if they’re coping, and still feel overwhelmed.
You don’t need a diagnosis or a neat explanation. If you only know that something doesn’t feel right, we can start there. There’s a longer list on why people come to counselling.
Working together
A session is 50 minutes. You set the pace. I listen properly, I don’t rush you toward an answer, and I won’t assume I already understand your life. When a question might help, I’ll ask it gently.
You don’t have to have everything worked out before you come, and you don’t have to keep coming if it stops feeling useful. Many people begin weekly, then we adjust. The first step can be a free 15-minute phone call, with no decision required at the end of it.
How the work is shaped
My training is an MSc in integrative counselling and psychotherapy, and I’m a registered member of the BACP. In practice that means I don’t apply one technique to every person. We use what fits you — relational, practical, and sometimes a little challenging — rather than a fixed programme. About Rebecca explains this more fully.
Attending in Keighley
Sessions are in a private room in Keighley. I’ll explain where it is when we arrange a time, so you’re not guessing on the day. You don’t have to live in the town. People come from nearby as well.
If Keighley is the awkward journey, counselling in Skipton is the other in-person option. Online counselling is there too, anywhere in the UK, when neither room is convenient.

Questions about counselling in Keighley
Is this the same as your Skipton sessions?
Same length, same fee, same way of working. The difference is the room: this one is in Keighley. Counselling in Skipton is the other in-person choice.
Do I need to live in Keighley?
No. A therapist in Keighley can still be the right fit if you live nearby, or if the journey simply works better than Skipton. Online is an option if travel is the hard part.
What does it cost, and how do I start?
£55 for 50 minutes. Message me to arrange the free 15-minute consultation. You can read sessions and fees first if you want the practical side on its own.
